Why Lucas Media donated to GroceryAid instead of sending gifts this year

We've built our studio on strong partnerships with some clients being with us for many years. These relationships are grounded in creativity, trust, and shared purpose.
Every year we send a small token gift as a thank you to our clients to mark the end of another incredible 12 months of working together; however, this year, we've decided to do things a little bit differently.

Instead of sending gifts, we're making a charitable donation to GroceryAid, the industry charity supporting everyone in the grocery and FMCG sectors.

As a creative studio working more and more in the FMCG sector, we've had the chance to meet some genuinely incredible people from manufacturing teams and shift leaders to delivery drivers and head office staff. Many of these people are the unsung heroes behind some of the UK's most iconic brands. We're lucky to collaborate with businesses like Krispy Kreme and Hovis, who lead the way in championing health and wellbeing and continually backing organisations like GroceryAid.

So we asked ourselves: what if our end-of-year gesture could reflect not just our appreciation, but our shared purpose too?

What if someone we've worked with even just once found themselves in need of support? It feels right to know we've contributed in a small way. They might need a helping hand or just simply someone to talk to in an emergency. That's where GroceryAid would come into their own and give that support in whatever way they are needed for that person. You never know when you might need help, so having GroceryAid in the background could be a lifesaver in more ways than one.

For those who don't know about GroceryAid, they provide vital emotional, practical, and financial help to people across the grocery industry. That could be crisis support, mental health counselling, family help, or bereavement care; it's a lifeline that many rely on.
